Hello I was taking some pictures on my camera and was going do transfer the files to my computer but I doesent connect to the pc Is it a problem with the app or the pc because it doesn't make a sound or give me a notification that the camera Is connected I have tried the eos utility version 2 and 3 but the computer won’t recognise it. According to canons website I need a version 1 but it can’t be downloaded to my computer because the website says the program isn’t available anymore. Im on a windows computer.

You can use a USB CF Card reader instead. Most computers today won’t support such an old program. Also when that camera came out most computers were still using Windows XP. So the camera may not support newer Windows versions such as Windows 10 or Windows 11.

An EOS 30D with Windows up to Windows 11. should work. You can try:
1. Different USB cable
2. Different USB port on the computer.
3. Try the 30D on another computer to see if that works.
You could have a bad USB port on the camera, in which case a CF card reader is the way to go. It's just risky to be doing a lot of removal/reinsertion of a CF card because of pin-bending possibility, but it may be your only choice.
