Newbie to photography. I brought a EOS 1100D with IS 18-55MM EFS lens. I shot some pictures for the first time and notice my image have a curved black shadow on the top right and bottom of my pictures, kind of looks like it’s trying to crop the pic. Was wondering if I am doing something wrong and how I should go about correcting this? Please help.

This looks a little odd. However you have shared a photo of the camera display, not a picture the camera itself took. Can you take a photo then press the play button to check if the photo show the same darkening of the edge at the right and bottom?
From the picture I can't be sure if the phone you took this picture with is blocking some light in your room and creating a shadow on the EOS camera screen.

Do you have a hood attached to the front of the lens? If it is on crooked it can be shading one side.

A camera this old is almost certainly used, and it looks like you got one with a bad LCD. It shouldn't affect the images (do as p4pictures suggested and supply a sample image, not a shot of the LCD screen) but, it might get prevent accurate reviewing or LiveViewing of the images..
