I found the setting that holds the shutter open for photos of fountains, waterfalls, etc. Neglected to note and can't find the title in the index. Used every word I can think of- delayed, exposure, etc. Camera is the EOS Rebel T7. Thanks.

Read the instructions on Bulb. Page 114 has the steps and the shutter is open up to 30 seconds. Like to try this on a fountain or waterfall. Thanks to all.

A Bulb exposure will hold the shutter open for as long as you fully press the shutter button

How, in your mind is a "delayed" exposure different from a long exposure?
The normal shutter time goes for 30 seconds.

Wouldn't delayed exposure be when the 2 second or 10 second self-timer was actuated?

It's Bulb Exposure but I'm not excited at holding down the button for 2-3 minutes. Is there a way to lock the aperature open, either for a timed exposure or click-then-release? Many thanks to all!

You can purchase a remote shutter release RS-60E3 or third party equivalent.

Or an intervalometer that will do it automagically.

Without an accessory most Canon cameras will hold the shutter open for 30 seconds if selected. Some will let you expose to a single frame allowing for more time but more than one shutter click. This may not, probably not, a feature on the T7 though.

Thanks. Still learning the T7 but will, as my grandson would say, read the directions. Old camera manual was 174 pages; T7 is 364 pages!
