My Canon EOS 1DX Mark II takes pictures all day. I can view them on the back of the camera But when I try to view them on computer or down load them on computer the pictures are not there.  HELP!

Bmt,

1) How are you physically moving them from your camera to the computer?

2) Are they RAW or are they jpegs?

downloading RAW + jpeg with a card reader.   I've used the same process hundreds of times previously with no problem.

But,

Hmm.

What kind of computer are you using? Is it a Windows computer, or an Apple?

If it's a Windows computer, can you use Windows Explorer to see if it shows any files on the card at all?

I'm sorry, I'm not familiar with Apple, so I don't know what the process might be in that case.

Steve Thomas

WIndows. I tried downloading on two different Window computers. The file numbers are missing. After not being able to download I took a couple of test pictures. They are on the camera and can be downloaded. But there is a gap of 70 pictures missing in the numbering indicating they have been deleted.  How that could have happened I don't know. I did not delete any pictures today from camera or via computer.

BMt,

I wondered at the time if perhaps they had been put in a different folder.

Did you create any new folders on your camera?

Steve Thomas

Can you post a screenshot of the contents of the DCIM folder on the card?
