When I set the camera to high speed continuous shooting I'm unable to take a single shot (if I want to) no matter how lightly I touch the shutter I will get multiple images. If I set the camera to low speed continuous shooting then I can take a single shot if I want to. Is there a way to adjust the sensitivity of the shutter button so I can keep it on high speed multiple images and also am able to take a single shot in that setting.? Any help with this would be appreciated,

No, I don't think so. The human body just can't move that fast. Lightness of touch doesn't have anything to do with it.
