I use Canon EF 100-400mm f_4.5-5.6L IS II USM Lens.

It's part of the Canon EOS 90D for Dummies Series.  (I think it's one of the chapters in the book).

About three-quarters (3/4) of the way down the page, there is a section called, "Advanced autofocusing tweaks"

It explains each of the settings in Custom Function II and how to use them, including the first 5 settings you were asking about.
