Canon 6d mirror actuation rubbing rear lens element on Rokinon 14mm f2.8 EF mount.

Would anyone have advice on if my Canon 6D mirror might be rubbing the rear lens element on my EF mount Rokinon 14mm f.2.8? I used the lens for the first time the other day and noticed some knicks had formed after actuating the shutter. The rear lens element does protrude past the rear of the lens.

EF lenses should not protrude into the camera body like EF-S lenses. I would stop using the lens to prevent further damage to the lens or mirror. Also since its a 3rd party lens causing this problem I wouldn't use it.

Is this the lens you are talking about?

Thank you for your response. That's close though the item name differs slightly. The item name of the lens I have is as follows: Rokinon 14mm f/2.8 ed as if umc canon ef fit. The description labeled it as a lens that was compatible with full frame DSLR's.

Is this a Fully manually lens ie manual focus and an aperture ring. I know Rokinon lenses are usually completely manual lenses. They also don't have electronic contacts to communicate with the body.

Yes. It is full manual.

Just what I thought there shouldn't be any electrical contacts on the back of the lens to communicate back to the body.

I have both the camera and the lens.  The mirror should not collide with the lens, and nothing should be extending out of the lens mount into the camera body.

Can you take a photo of the lens mount where something is coming into contact with the mirror?
