Cannon eos rebel t6 not working with EOS Webcam Utility

when trying to use my camera through the canon Webcam utility app it does not recognize that I plugged it in. It doesn't change anything on the computer or on the camera. I think I'm following all the instructions but I'm not 100 percent sure.
