Can't get photos to transfer from Canon 5D Mark IV to iPad via cable but only when I remove one of the cards. Doing this with the 5D mark iii is no problem. What am I doing wrong?
Nb. All latest firmware installed.

it worked (one time) in 1 of 100 tries (after trying to dis and reconnect about 40 times) . i saw content of both cards that time . raw and jpeg L
and it was also possible to import them from the mark iv
but since then not even once

I have used several iPads succesfully via cabel connection icluding older 9.7 Pro. Problems started with newest iPad Pro 11 with both of my cameras 5D IV and 1Dx II all with latest Firmwares. I have tried unsuccesfully with several cabels or only w 1 JPEG memorycard. I feel very disappointed as these are PRO models from both manufacturers!

This blog discusses it working well.

Maybe posting a question on the blog could get some info.

in my opinion the blog is talking importing to ipad via a card reader not directly via cable from the 5D mark IV
in the meanwhile i also tested with a canon 7D which also worked fine and everytime / card
but still no success with the 5D mark iv

i tested further and its perfectly working with
- Canon Powershot 100 S
- Canon 7D
- Canon R
but NOT with the Canon 5D Mark IV also not with only 1 card in the camera (i tested with 2 different 5D . mine and from a friend)
the Gallery Opens on connect but the import doesnt get activated
another problem seem to exist if you put 2 cards in a card reader with 2 slots
- the gallery show only one cards content and after discarding it the import screen is still shown and doesnt get closed
- having only one of my 5d mark iv cards in . its working like expected
so it might be on apple side

which camera you did update the firmware again ?
5d m 4 or 1d `?
and the same firmware you already had on the camera ?
if yes it would be clearly a canon bug imho
does not work for me (5D mark iv / most current firmware)
