PaulieD

Hello, thanks in advance for the help.

Just purchased an r-10 with the 18-45 lens.  All set up, then I get the response 'set the lens in shooting position'.  Please tell me what to do. P

If you have not done so already, I recommend that you visit the R10 product page at the Canon Support web site.  Download a PDF of the full User Guide. It will tell how to mount lenses.  It should also include a section that explains error messages.  The user guide will also prove to be invaluable if you encounter future issues.

As Waddizzle mentioned, you really need to d/l the manual. However, this may be a lens specific feature and hard to find in the manual, if at all.

With the RF 18-45mm lens, you have to have the lens extended to 18mm before it will function. Go to the 1:40 mark of this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pOMil2WgFfU
