Will Canon RF 5.2 dual fisheye work on Canon R8 camera?

Looking into purchasing the canon r8 and was wondering since it has the same sensor and processor of the r6 mark II will the rf dual fisheye also work on it?

At the current time the EOS R8 is not compatible with the RF 5.2 dual fisheye lens.

Canon did update the EOS R6 Mark II firmware after its introduction to add support for the RF dual fisheye lens to that model, but nothing I have seen to cover the EOS R8. With a search I found the info about Canon's VR utility to convert clips to equirectangular images and it is only compatible with the following devices, and since it includes the recent RF-S dual fisheye I am sure that the EOS R8 is not supported.

<RF 5.2mm F2.8 L DUAL FISHEYE>
EOS R5 (Firmware Ver.1.5.0 or higher)
EOS R5 C
EOS R6 Mark II (Firmware Ver.1.2.0 or higher)

<RF-S3.9mm F3.5 STM DUAL FISHEYE>
EOS R7 (Firmware Ver.1.5.0 or higher)

Thank you so much for the reply back! I will probably look into getting the R6 mark II.
