Will Canon 50mm f/1.4USM lens fit Canon 1000D body?

I currently have a Canon 1000D and saving up to buy a newer body, but was just wondering if I could buy the 50mm f/1.4USM lens in the meantime? would it be compatible with the 1000D body? Thanks so much! 🙂

Yes, that lens will work well with a 1000D.  In fact, any Canon lens whose model number starts with “EF” or “EF-S” will work.
