Waiting on Sigma and Canon lens orders

Yesterday I ordered my first sigma 18-200 lens and then I turn around and order the 18- 135 Canon lens. Although I have not picked them up yet I'm waiting for the last lens to come and then I go pick both of them up.

So, as a matter of curiosity...  why did you buy two lenses that have an overlapping focal range - well, even more, one engulfs the other?

cheers, TREVOR

The mark of good photographer is not what they hold in their hand, it's what they hold in their head;
"All the variety, all the charm, all the beauty of life is made up of light and shadow", Leo Tolstoy;
"Skill in photography is acquired by practice and not by purchase" Percy W. Harris

The sigma lens is actually here and I didn't cancel that one it's the 18-200mm the other is stm. I shoot multiple events, I never had the kit lens because I buy body only. The actual 18 mm is a view I can't get right now and my 18-200mm Tamron lens is too soft for my 90D great for my 80D. Plus I'm collecting lens

As Trevor says, you have significant focal length overlap.

The Canon 18-135 is a very good lens. You don't state which version of the Sigma you bought, so I don't know the price.

I suggest you cancel the Sigma lens and get the Canon 70-300 f/4-5.6 USM. You will still have some overlap but then you will have two very good lenses to compliment a great camera.
