Hello,
Yesterday a new firmware for the EOS R3 with the version number 2.1.0 was released. First of all, many thanks to Canon for that.Too bad, I had hoped that they would have new functions for the autofocus as in the firmware for the EOS R1 and EOS R5 Mark II for action priority in American football and horses. I've also been waiting for an option for pre-autofocus for a long time. Quite disappointing...
In version 2.0.0 there is also a bug that hopefully is fixed in version 2.1.0: When using a Canon EF 400mm f:2.8 L IS USM with the Control Ring Mount Adapter on the EOS R3, "Canon EF 400mm f:2.8 L IS USM + 2x" is stored in the EXIF data, i.e. the data that stands for the lens including 2x converter. Unfortunately, I could not try yet whether the error is fixed.
Greetings from Germany,
Mario
