Hi! I’m new to the camera industry and looking for some help picking out a lens for my new Canon EOS R10 camera. After doing my research, I purchased a RF 50 mm f/1.8 STM lens. After testing it, I loved the quality of the image however it was too zoomed in for my liking/purposes of the camera. I understand the R10 is a crop sensor camera as well. I am traveling soon throughout Europe for a month. I wanted to use the camera for more travel content and vlogging. Any suggestions on a lens for those purposes? Anything below $500 would be within my budget. I was looking into the RF 10-18 mm, 18-45 mm, and 18-150 mm. I don’t want the photos/videos to look distorted either. Any help is super appreciated! Thank you so much!

What do you mean by "distorted".
If you want much less zoom in that the 50 mm, go with the 10-18. If you want a good, small, walking around lens, go with the 18-45. If you think you might want to zoom in more than the 50mm, go with the 18-135. I have the EF-S version, and I think it is a great general purpose lens.
You can see differences in focal length here:

multiply by 1.6 for your camera. i.e., your 50mm would look like the 85mm on that page.

Hello! Thank you for your reply and help. With distorted, I meant that I don’t want a super wide angle zoom similar to the wide angle an iPhone. Where the edges/photo looks off, if that makes sense. The link you sent helps a lot, thank you!

I have the R10 and the RF-S 18-150mm lens. It’s a great all purpose lens giving wide angle and medium telephoto abilities in one lens. It certainly would make a good travel lens.
If you find the 50mm too zoomed in though you should look at the RF-S 18-45mm as it is smaller and lighter. Remember that European cities are often smaller with buildings closer together and here the wider view of the RF-S 10-18mm does let you get more in the frame even at close distances.

I have to agree with Brian. For your camera, IMHO the best all-round lens for travel is the 18-150. It should cover the vast majority of your needs as regards focal range.
cheers, TREVOR

Agree with everyone's suggestions. The RF-S 18-150 would definitely compliment the camera for your use.

Sorry for the brain fade, of course I mean for you to get the RF 18-150, not the EF-S 18-135!

It didn't help that it was late and I was typing without my glasses!
