There’s a loose metal bit in my camera lense. It hasn’t been dropped or hit at all yet there is a loose metal bit which is pretty large in the camera lense. You can see it from the big side of the lense. Im not sure what to do because my zoom no longer works because it is stiff and it doesn’t spin/move anymore. Do I need to buy a new lense or can it be repaired?

We need a Full Name of the lens to see if repair is possible. Please list the FULL NAME NOT for instance "EF 24-105mm". Also what camera do you have. I provided example lenses for you to identify your lens.

"Do I need to buy a new lense or can it be repaired?"
Anything can be repaired. The question is how much will the repair cost vs the value of the lens and/or its replacement. A broken something inside a lens, any lens, is not a good thing.
