Canon service says they no longer support the older model 100-400 IS lens. My locking ring no longer locks. Has anyone had this repaired? where did you send it? Is it a repair that I could make, Where could I find parts, and instructions? Any advice, comment, etc., would be great. Thx

Last repair I had was January of 2018, completed by Canon Factory Services Center in Costa Mesa, CA.
Total bill was $440.83 covering labor, parts and 2 day shipping.
This is not a do it yourself project!

Some folks on here recommend Midwest Camera Repair. I have never used them myself.
