I usually scan artwork on my mac by going to system settings>printers and scanners and then selecting my printer/scanner. I prefer this because it gives me a preview and I can select what areas I want to scan, this has always worked efficiently. Now, whenever I use that method, scanning is really slow, but using the IJ scan utility app works like normal.
Is there any way to get a preview and custom scanning area through IJ scan utility? Or does anyone know why scanning through system settings might get slowed down?
