have a pixma mp980 im trying to get a network going between my laptop and my printer. my laptop is a windows 7 and my desktop is a windows8. when i put in the cd to download the software it will load except it wants an updated driver. it wont download a driver.. is there something not capatable and if so what can i do to get the laptop recognized by the printer. the desktop alone will print,,, but laptop which i want to use in other room wont connect to printer. i do have a netgear xtended router in the other room to connect with wi fi...thank you , linda in montana
