Hello, my scanner is not working : there is always a message indicating "document in ADF", "press OK".
The printer works fine though.

If the printer "thinks" there is a document insert into the ADF, then one of the following is probably true:
Door isn't closed
Sensor is dirty or failing
Physical debris or paper present
This is a mechanical error.

Hi,
Big difference between " there is always a message indicating "document in ADF"
and
but the message only comes after page 1 or 2...
inspect and check the ADF for foreign debris, worn rollers or feeders, binding, any old remnant pieces of torn paper. Best way to clean is with canned air and a Q-Tip dipped in alcohol. Some of the grears / components might have a light coating of white lithium grease. If in doubt, don't apply unless you are absolutely sure.
The paper width must also be set evenly and straight. First page feeds, send can jam if not aligned correctly. Also suggest you fan the paper before inserting and adhere to the max number of sheets the ADF can be loaded with.
