I just purchased the Canon PIXMA TR4722 printer today from Walmart. I had been using an HP OfficeJet Pro 8720 prior but I was tired of paying HP's excessively high prices for ink so I thought I'd try out Canon. I compared the print quality of my old printer to my new one and even with the Canon set on "High" print quality it doesn't even come close to the quality of the HP. Did I get an "off" printer? I have friends who have good things to say about Canon. And if this is the best print quality that this model can provide, then does anyone have a recommendation for a better Canon model?
I have included a picture with the HP printed document on the left and the Canon printed document on the right. Thank you in advance for the help!CanonPrintQuality.jpg

The Canon printer appears to have printed in draft mode, not high quality, which is not as dark, does not use as much ink. This is a setting that can be changed.
