mf 8380cdw scan & tool box 4.9


mf 8380cdw scan & tool box 4.9 will not work with windows 8.1; I have done all I know with drivers, uninstalled and reinstalled, updated etc. With the Tool Box software I have tried troubleshooting and compatibility tests and fixes. It will work for a while and then it won't. Gives a message that an error occured and sending a report to Windows.

I know that being unable to scan is frustrating and I will be glad to assist you.  However, I would like to ask a few questions, if that is okay.


  1. How is the printer connected to the computer?  Is it connected directly with a USB cable, with an Ethernet cable to a router, or wirelessly over your network?
  2. How were the drivers and software installed on your computer?  Did you use the installation CD-ROM that came with the machine or did you download the drivers from the Canon website?
