ix7000 not printing graphic in desired location on paper

I am printing a page 13 x 17 with the graphic centered on the page.  I have set the print dialogue for that setting but the graphic prints at the very top of the page with a vertical black line running down the right side of the page.  Whay isn't it printing as desired?

Common Causes of Misalignment in Printing

Printer Settings

  • Ensure that the print settings match the paper size and type.
  • Check if the correct paper type is registered in the printer settings.

Paper Handling

  • Make sure the paper is loaded correctly and aligned properly in the tray.
  • Adjust the paper guides to hold the paper firmly in place.

Environmental Factors

  • High humidity can cause paper to expand, leading to misalignment. Keep the printer and paper in a stable environment.

Troubleshooting Steps

  1. Check Paper Size: Confirm that the paper size set in the printer matches the actual paper size loaded.

  2. Adjust Print Settings: In the print dialogue, ensure the graphic is set to print centered on the page.

  3.

For optimal print settings on the Canon iX7000 printer, ensure you select the appropriate paper size and type in the settings, and consider using the Borderless Printing option if you want to print without margins. Additionally, adjust the print position if necessary to align margins correctly.

  4. Re-Align Paper: Remove the paper, realign it, and reload it into the printer.

  5. Test Print: After making adjustments, perform a test print to see if the issue is resolved.

  6. Firmware Update: Ensure the printer's firmware is up to date, as updates can fix bugs related to printing issues.
