My printer was bought June 2026, It is a canon G2410. I have 18173 prints done. It now is not printing, giving an error with the ink absorber. Does the ink absorber fall under warranty or wil i need to pay to get this repaired?

Greetings ,

If the printer is working normally with heavy use it's probably fine.

The ink absorber should not be full (yet) with a duty cycle of approximately 468 pages p/ month.  Assuming you're being told the ink absorber is full or almost full.  Given these figures, I believe your product will be covered under warranty.

Start by registering your printer in your MyCanon account.

Then contact support.  1-800-652-2666

i have taken the printer to PartServe and they quoted me over R1000 to replace the ink absorber, they say it is a consumable and doesn't fall under warranty

Greetings,

For products not manufacturered or intended for sale in the United States. The warranty policy could be different.

You can select your country and region and check with Canon for warranty specific information for your region.
