cannon software and scanning problems abound

obviously cannon doesn't care that their  software has inconvienenced a lot of people who like to use the scanner on their printer.. i posted a problem back in november and have tried to reinstall repeatedly and even tried doing it from the printer which has a scanning option and nothing works... this really stinks that cannon's suggestions that i have read do not work and cannon doesn't seem to care... i guess i'll be getting a new printer
