When I hit print, message shows printer is offline. How do I correct?

When I hit print, message says printer is offline.  How to fix?

Hi sackets,

 

To try and resolve the issue, please turn off your printer, then disconnect your router and leave it unplugged for at least 10 seconds, then reconnect it and turn the printer back on.  This should reset the connection between the two devices.  

 

If you still experience difficulty printing, the issue you are experiencing may be resulting from a port on your router turning off when the printer is not used for a while, causing the printer not to respond on the network. To try and resolve the issue, you will want to ensure that necessary ports and programs required by the printer are not being blocked by security or firewall programs. To do this, please follow the steps located here.
