Updated OS. Now PC not recognizing scanner on MX922

Tina1

I updated my OS from Sierra to Monterey. Now printer/scanner MX922, which was working fine, is no longer recognized as it was before. Icon in settings is now a gray printer. ( It was black and looked like a MX922). And there is no scanner function from the mini mac. Tried going back to Sierra and unable to do that.

Advise?

Hi,

If you updated your MacOS but did not reinstall the printer, that could be the cause of the issue. Please go into printers and scanner and remove the printer listed. Once that is done, click HERE and make sure the operating system listed is MacOS12.

You will down to download and install the following:

  • MX920 series CUPS Printer Driver Ver. 16.60.0.0
  • MX920 series Scanner Driver Ver.19.3.0a
  • ICA Driver Ver. 5.0.0

Once those are fully installed, go back to printers and scanner and add the printer back to your computer.

This worked. Thank you so much. This has been a great printer/scanner. Really didn't look forward to having to replace it.
