  • You really do get what you pay for.
  • Nooo I'm not printing pictures. I am printing screenshots of text messages getting ready for Trial.

Hello!
So that the Community can help you better, we will need to know more information:
• What is the exact model printer you're using (it's usually on the top or front of the unit)?
• Do you see any error messages?
• Which version of Windows or macOS are you using?
• How do you connect to your printer (USB or WiFi)?

Any other details you'd like to give will only help the Community better understand your issue.

Are these literally screenshots taken on devices/computers, or are you able to print directly from the text message application/app?

For the former, it will be a pain, but you could add in white rectangles over areas that are purely a background image/color.  I've also done things in the past where I overlay say an 75% opaque white rectangle over the image and then print that.  Contrast is decreased, but less ink would be used.

For the latter, check the the print options to see if there's any way to not include a background.  Or, perhaps the ability to generate a PDF transcript that would only contain text (dates, times, sender, receiver and the messages).

Though since you mention a trial, not sure the specifics of what would be allowed.  Perhaps a screenshot would be required and not some text-only export?

One other question... are you using an Inkjet printer?   This may be a case for when a color laser printer would be more econimical in the long run.
