The Scan function no longer working since upgrading to Windows 10

I was able to get the printer funciton to work fine via wireless, but the Scanner no longer functions.  I went to the Canon site to download the latest software, which reinstalled successfully, but the scanner is not being detected.  I tried to reinstall from the original CD but the downloaded software is newer version, so the installation stops.  When I launch the Canon Quick Menu, the scanner portion is devoid of any icons; if I try to add it via preferences, the printer shows, but the scanner line is empty and the drop down contains no entries.

Please advise.

Thanks

Paul

There are many hits on Google for W10 scanner problems.

See if this helps.

Thanks JR,

I removed everything, and re-downloaded the latest software from the Canon site, and this time, the scanner was successfully found and I am now able to scan again.

Thanks for getting back to me!

Happy New Year.

Paul
