TS9020 Taking too long to print

I purchased the TS9020 last year after my old trusted Canon printer died. I always liked Canon printers but I'm having problems with printing speeds - it takes too long to print. I use this printer as a small business tool and it's becoming more of a libility than an assest. Does anyone have the same problem?  How can I correct this? I've followed instructions in the printer documentation and changed settings several times but nothing I do changes the slow operation. Please help.
