TS6420a prints double vision blurry only PDF files

Everything else looks like it prints just fine, normal. Only PDF files prints double making it look blurry or out of focus. It used to print just fine then all of a sudden it started doing this. I'm wondering if it did an update of some kind back a few months ago could cause this? Is there anyway to put back the original hardware software/firmware in this printer?

You can set: black only

Or repair the printer

I have done that several times but I do not have a problem doing it again.

I did the print head alignment, still double/blurry with PDF and word documents

I did try printing a picture with word and it did the same thing, double/blurry

You can set: black only

It printed perfect.

Just on a whim, I did a print with color only and it printed perfect.

The main reason is still the inaccurate color matching of black and color.

So, both black and color only can solve this problem.

This is a very strange problem, I have never encountered such a serious color mismatch before.

You guys think it is a physical hardware problem and not a software problem. What would make this start doing this all of a sudden? Do you think something shifted inside the printer? I hope you guys come up with a solution because this printer is just about useless to me as it is.

Have you guys at Canon come up with any solutions. I'd like to get this resolved. I hope your discussing this problem with someone there at Canon so we can get this resolved/ Thank you.

Sorry, I'm just a Canon printer user, not a Canon staff member

To solve this problem, it is likely that the print head needs to be replaced
