TS6420a prints double vision blurry only PDF files

Everything else looks like it prints just fine, normal. Only PDF files prints double making it look blurry or out of focus. It used to print just fine then all of a sudden it started doing this. I'm wondering if it did an update of some kind back a few months ago could cause this? Is there anyway to put back the original hardware software/firmware in this printer?

Hello there!

So we have a complete picture, it's helpful to know the following:
Which version of Windows or macOS are you using?
Do you connect to your printer using a USB cable or WiFi?
Are the most up-to-date software/drivers installed from the Canon USA site HERE?

If you have any other details, feel free to let us know!

windows 11, wifi, and I'm not sure

Can you provide blurry images for printing

You can try toperform print head alignment on you printer.

I have done print head alignment several times. Here is what it looks like when it prints.20231115_224322.jpg

This malfunction is too strange.

I feel that black and color are not overprinted together.

I would like to confirm if there is a problem with double-sided printing when printing a document in Word software doc format?

Can you test the printing effect by setting it to gray printing?

Ok, let me see if I can keep this straight.

PDF grayscale double/blurry

PDF double sided double/blurry

word docx double/blurry

word docx grayscale looks ok

word doc 2 sided double/blurry both sides

word 2 sided grayscale double/blurry both sides

You can select preview before printing in the driver.

Check if the preview before printing also has this issue.

The preview looks good.

Based on the information currently provided, I believe it is likely a hardware issue with the printer.

You can try to perform the print head alignment operation
