TS 9020 won't connect to Windows 11

I bought a new Windows 11 computer.  When I connected my printer it would not recognize the printer.  Then somehow I got it to work but now it is back to not recognizing the printer.  Why does it not recognize my printer??!!

Are you using your PIXMA TS9020 with a USB cable?
or are you using your PIXMA TS9020 wirelessly?

I was trying to get it connected by USB cable without success.  I connected the printer to my home wifi and updated the firmware.  Then I connected wirelessly to the printer.  That worked.   I would rather be connected via USB but do not want problems now that is is connected wirelessly.
