TR 7820 Document Feeder Quit Working

I have a Canon TR7820. The scanner feeder no longer pulls the document into the printer to scan.  I have to place the documents directly on the glass plate.  Is there a fix for this?

When a page is inserted to the ADF, does the scanner acknowledge it by waking up or playing a sound (tone)?

Have you opened up the ADF cover to look for obstructions, torn corner of a page etc? 

The TR 7820 is almost 3 years old now. The printer has a 1-year warranty from Canon.

If you are within warranty, I would contact Canon support.  Start by registering your printer in your MyCanon account.  Then contact support 1-800-652-2666.

If it's outside warranty, you may want to pursue local repair as shipping and repair costs may exceed replacement value.
