Solution to MP Navigator EX functionality issues with macOS Mojave 10.14

Is there a solution to this issue available ? I would hope there is a plan to release an update to MP Navigator EX so I can use my MX892 printer/scanner again.

Mac OSx 10.14 drivers are not planned for the MX892. As a workaround, you may be able to use the Mac OSx 10.13 driver with Mac OSx 10.14. But, functionality is not assured.

To download the OSx 10.13 drivers, please visit the driver page for your MX892 and then click on macOS Mojave v10.14. A drop down menu will appear and  you can change the Operating System to macOS High sierra v10.13. Once the printer and scanner drivers are installed, please click the software tab and install MP Navigator EX Ver. 5.1.2.

No, this is not a solution. I have no MP Navigator EX ver.5.1.2. functionality after updating printer and scanner drivers and installing MP Navigator EX ver.5.1.2.

What is the reasoning behind the decision not to release Mac OSx 10.14 drivers for the MX892? If product functionality is not assured, neither are repeat customer purchases of Canon products. Think about it.
