Scanning using MG4250 = Query

When the scanner is used - the results are shown on the LCD screen, but not the computer monitor!

What have I forgotten to do - where have I gone wrong?

Surely there must be one owner out there with a MG4250 !!!!!

Can someone kindly confirm that when a scan is made, the results do/should appear on the computer monitor screen.
