SOLVED: the issue pertains to incorrectly loading the "AirPrint" driver when adding the printer. See the attached link to an Apple support forum. The application now works fine for me.

The latest version of Easy Photo Print 4.5.0 will apparently not run on my MacBook Pro and OS-X 10.9.1 with a network attached Canon MX 892.
The Canon download page indicates that is IS supported.
When launching the app, the following message appears in a box...
Can someone verify this is a valid error box or should it be ignored? I might add this printer worked on a previous version of the firmware, as well as a previous version of the Easy Photo Print application. As I recently updated the printer firmware (and lost the Ethernet as a result) I also updated the EPP application.
I probably should have updated nothing - this is very frustrating.
