Printing on the wrong side of one-sided paper?

Per warnings included with Canon paper, will printing on the wrong side of one-sided paper do any damage to my printer - Canon PIXMA iP8720.

The only Canon paper available in matte/ 50-60 lb/ 8.5x11 is one-sided which is Canon Pro Premium Matte @ 56 lb. I'm printing b&w photos for a book I'm making and occasionally I'll need to print on both sides of some of the pages. Unless a double-sided Canon paper is available that I'm not aware of, I''ll have to consider another paper brand like Red River or my initial choice Office Depot Pro Photo paper - both double sided.

I really like the quality of the Pro premium Matte and would love to use it for this book if only it was double-sided.

Any suggestions or info?

One sided paper only has the coating on the print side.

Red River makes good paper. I would recommend you use their paper and Use the ICC profile for your printer.
