• How can I reset this printer it says contact service center. There's got to be a way to reset this printer. I spent the last 3 years in bed with cancer and now my printer won't work. Please can someone tell me how to get past the error message.

Thanks for letting us know what Canon product you've got. The PIXMA MG7720 is an older model which we have retired. While that means that Canon USA no longer offers direct support for it, your friends here in the Canon Community are welcome to offer suggestions!

I haven't found any printers that could do what this printer does. It can do almost anything as far as an all in one unit. I have two new printheads in the box in a Year's worth of ink from 3 years ago when I did not want to retire it with cancer. Because of an error message you want me to pay that much for a printer. I no longer have resources to buy a printer like that. And the print heads in the ink won't work in your other printers. It would be nice if Cannon shared the solution to this problem. I'm sure there are many other people that had to buy other printers because no one would fix the error message. I believe Canon knows it was a problem with that model I really loved this one and I would like to repair this one which I know is a programmable fix or repair. I would even buy the programmer that resets that model printer because it's got to be cheaper than a brand new printer. How can I get this one fixed because there isn't a Canon service center close to me?

Why can't Cannon share this solution. Being a global network engineer for the World Trade Center and supporting thousands all over the world and now can and can't even tell me how to bypass an error message. Canon must have done this to 1000s of people. Come on Canon do what is right. You know there is a reset for this error message even for this model mg7720.

If you wont support it at least recommend someone that will or can. I have been doing this for 40 years

This error is a hardware error. Not a matter of "resetting" the printer. See HERE.

Canon. Asia posted they had an electronic tool to plug into Canon printers and remove the error message or bypass the error. Unfortunately how many United States and that tool is not available here. I know that someone can bypass this error because I cannot afford to buy a printer now with cancer and bills. I have two new printheads in the box and a year maybe two of inks to go in this printer because it is an excellent photo printer. Please recommend a service center that can replace my waste ink tank. I know you have the part in stock just like you had a hundred printheads. Why can't you just send me the part let me fix it myself. When I was at the World Trade Center Cannon had no problem taking care of whatever I needed but now I'm disabled at home and they want to force you to buy a new printer. You have no external buttons to press to bypass things on this printer and I'm sure there are many people that had the same problem. I don't want to put such a good piece of equipment in the trash can over a error message. Or an ink tank replacement. You sold me the printheads but now you can't send me an waste ink tank. Doing good business is getting really hard to do in the United States anymore. Is it really that hard to send me the part.? I had an account and I can't remember it and your phone system is horrible and won't let anyone get through without a new account. I think I'm wasting my time trying to deal with Cannon now. In the past that is all I used and all I recommended. Come on customer service reach out and contact me. I'm currently on hospice and they're trying to force me to give up and thanks to your printer I've been able to do art and things on my computer to give me hope because I cannot walk now and I'm not going in a nursing home to give up and die. Why can't Cannon just make my life easier and send me the waste ink tank. That would be helpful
