I followed instructions at https://support.usa.canon.com/kb/index?page=content&id=ART143853 to install a new printhead.
After power on, it got stuck on the left side and error 5100 was displayed.
I can pull it about an inch toward the right but it won't move any further and it is inaccessible.
When I power on the printer, there is a squeak that sounds as if the printhead (or some part) is scraping against another then error 5100 is displayed. I've tried a couple sets of reset instructions which did not move the printhead to an accessible postion.
Please recommend any instructions that will allow me to get access to the stuck printhead.

Hi,
Please unplug the power cord to the printer and then try to move the print head over. If the print head is able to move, take the ink out and reinstall them making sure they click into place and then power on the printer.
If the print head wont move or the error wont clear the printer will require service. If your printer is still in warranty and you have a copy of the printers proof of purchase, please call Canon at 1-800-OK-CANON (1-800-652-2666), Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 8:00 PM EST.
If the printer is out of warranty, you would qualify for the Canon Upgrade program. This is for out of warranty units which have been diagnosed to require service or are incompatible with a new or upgraded system. This program allows you the opportunity to purchase a replacement product discounted from the list price. Free ground shipping is included with your purchase.
If you would like to take advantage of this offer, please call our Sales Department at (866) 443-8002 Mon-Sat, 9 AM to 9pm EST.

Thank you. I am mechanically inclined and would like to try the repair myself. Could someone associated with Canon please attach the service manual for this printer? It seems not to exist online.
