Pixma MG5550 completely dead, with just the orange alarm light on

Hi,

I could use some help solving the following for my Canon Pixma MG5550 printer:

- Printer is completely dead, no reaction to any button whatsoever

- Orange alarm light is on (contnuously)

Tried:

- Un- and replug power --> no effect

- Hard reset, combination of 2 sec Off-button, On-button, 5x Off --> no effect

- Unplug power and press On-button for a minute --> no effect

Hope someone has a great idea!

Here is what I did:

press on/off button and unplug the power cable (keep button pressed down).

Wait a few seconds.

Switch on the printer.
