PIxma G7000 Will not print 8.5 x 14

IanArmstrong

Hi there. I'm running up-to-date Windows (probably 11) with a Canon Pixma G7000. I need to print an image I have saved on my laptop on 8.5 x 14 paper, preferably borderless. When I change my print settings to legal size on any program I've tried (photos, Word, PowerPoint, GIMP) my computer tells me it's in conflict with a printer setting and switches it back to letter size. I've tried changing the paper size using the printer's copy menu, but it makes no difference. Can someone recommend what to do? Thanks very much.

I realised more details about my problem and reposted a new conversation (Pixma G7020 won't print borderless on Legal size paper) to make it easier for people to see the issue and respond. Thanks for your help! This is my first time using the forum, so I wasn't really sure what information I needed to put up, as well as misunderstanding the details of my problem.

"Probably 11"?  Type "winver" in the search box on your taskbar. It will tell you.

Thanks. It is indeed 11. I hope that helps find a solution to recommend.

Thanks for joining the conversation, IanArmstrong!

So that the Community can help you better, we need to know exactly which Canon printer model you're using within the PIXMA G7000 series.  The model number should appear on the front of the unit just above the yellow ink tank window.  That, and any other details you'd like to give will help the Community better understand your issue!

Thanks and have a great day!

Thanks very much! It's a G7020.
