PIXMA TS9520a, what is this part, what does it do and how does it work...

the tray below the symbol that looks like a steering wheel, I can't find what that symbol means

it is just above the output tray 

I figured out how to flip the cover down but, on the product description it looks like "k" the multipurpose tray?

but... it does not slide out as pictured. baffled canon TS9520a what is 9-14 -2024  2jpg.jpg

thank you, I found a youtube that made it clear.

the instructions at the link, still a bit confusing, seeing someone use the feature was much easier.   It's called a multipurpose tray, but what it does is hold a printable CD/DVD?
