PIXMA TS9120 prints in copy mode but send blanks if I send a file from PC or phone.

My printer always worked well before but now it only sends blank pages if I try to print a file from my PC or my phone. The wifi doesn't seem to be the issue as the printer wakes up from my phone and prints blanks from my PC. It prints well if I copy a document, so it is not an ink issue.

Hi,

The signal is pretty low. It looks like its getting just enough signal to identify a print job buts its not attaching the data to the print job and that is why the pages are coming out blank.

Turn the printer off and then go unplug the power cord to the router for 30 seconds and then plug it back in. Once your wifi network is back up, turn the printer back on and print the network settings again.

If the signal is still low, please let us know how far the printer is from the router.

We look forward to your reply.

Hi Paulmario403,

Please follow these steps:

1.  Please tap the gear icon at the bottom of the display of your PIXMA TS9120.

2.  Tap Maintenance.

3.  Tap Print nozzle check pattern.

4.  Tap Yes.

A test page will print.

At the top of the page, did a black grid print to the right of |PGBK| ?

Below that, did 3 blue, 3 pink, 1 yellow and 4 gray bars print?

Does your printout match the example below?

Thanks for your suggestion, Patrick. The printout came out perfectly. As I said in my posting, the printer prints perfectly well if I copy a document from the scanning bed. It is only if I try to print a document from my PC or my phone that it produces blank pages.

Hi,

Please click HERE for the steps to print the network settings page. Once it prints, please let us know what the signal strength is in row 3-2-1.

We look forward to your reply.

Many thanks for your very interesting reply, Arthur. I did not know about this printout option. The signal strength in row 3-2-1 is 48%. Row 2-1 states: There is a problem in the settings/environment.

Thank you so much for your kind assistance, Arthur. After reconnecting the power cord and printing the network settings, the signal strength at 3-2-1 is now 65%, and the Link quality is at 68%. I printed easily from my PC and from my phone. You are a genius and I thank you!
