PIXMA TS6420a Do I need the rear tray to copy 8" x 10" paper?

I have a Canon TS6420a printer.  What is the purpose of the rear paper tray?  Do I need it to copy and print 8 X 10 paper?  Can I only use paper in the lower slide-in tray?

Your response referred me to the manual.  However, my question was,  What is the purpose of the rear paper tray?  Do I need it to copy and print 8 X 10 paper?  My lower tray seems to work for most jobs.

Guess it’s not needed for most jobs. If you look in the manual you can compare what tray accepts what. Then you can decide.
