PIXMA TS6220 is Eating 15 Sheets of Paper at a Time!

DAMDUCKY29

Lots of bad juju going on with this printer that we love & have TONS of backup Canon ink cartridges for! It's about 4 years old...

Problem started with unreadable printouts, so I cleaned the printer head (didn't fix anything) & then deep-cleaned the printer head, & it worked fine for a couple of weeks.

Then it started giving Error Code 6000 for paper jam when there was none. Now it tried to eat 15 sheets of paper in the cassette tray.

Unless someone has some thoughts on how to fix it (great 1st option!), I'd love to speak with a Sales Rep about replacing...TYIA

Hi,

To clear the error code, I recommend performing a reset of the printer. While the printer is on, unplug the power cord from the printer. While the power is off, press the power button 5 times. After 60 seconds plug the power cord back in and power on the printer.

If the error code clears, please click HERE for the steps to perform a roller cleaning.

If the issue persists, the printer has experienced an internal hardware issue and would need to be replaced.

You would qualify for the Canon Upgrade Program. This is for out of warranty units which have been diagnosed to require service, or for some reason are incompatible with a new or upgraded system. This option allows you a one-time opportunity to purchase a replacement product, discounted from the list price.

If you would like to take advantage of this offer, please the Canon Sales Department at (866) 443-8002 Mon-Sat, 9 AM to 9pm EST excluding holidays.
