PIXMA TS6220 Only shows 'CANON' on LCD screen

Good morning.   I have a Canon TS6220 (love it).  We had a power outage but I have the printer plugged into a surge protector.   When I turn the printer on,  it does not have an error code.  It only has 'CANON'.  It won't even shut off.  I have to unplug it.  What happened and how can I fix it?  Is there a reset button?

When you have it unplugged try pressing the power on button a few times. Sometimes that helps by draining any stored charge

Good morning.   I have a Canon TS6220 (love it).  My paper jammed and I pulled the paper out in a rush but should have followed instructions   Now when I turn the printer on,  it does not have an error code..it just has CANON.  I've unplugged it but CANON still populates the screen.  HELP

Give Canon a call at 1-800-OK-CANON

That did not work.

Please help.

Do you mean Canon refused to help you or that Canon said printer was damaged and couldn’t be repaired? Or what else do you mean?

There were no options to speak with a technician.   I actually got it to go through the error code 6000 and I followed instructions but 'Canon' still displays.  It won't shut off so I unplugged it and held the STOP button for 15 secs, plugged it back in but display still has 'Canon'..  what's next??

No thoughts. Maybe a moderator will see and have some ideas.

It looks like you piggybacked this issue on the power surge problem in July.

You indicated problem solved an thread has green check mark.

Maybe start a new thread and state Moderator Please Read in the title..
