Hello all,
I recently purchased the Pixma TS3722 for my after-school program. Not too long after purchase, the ink cartridges that came with it started getting spotty. That annoyed me but I figured they'd just been sitting for a long time before I actually got the printer. So I replaced both CMY and Black cartridges with XL versions, as I print things for my kiddos daily. Less than one week after installing these cartridges, the black one is already starting to run out. I did a quick search online and apparently, the expected page output for the specific XL cartridge is only 240 sheets. Is this accurate? 240 seems like NOTHING. Not to mention, I did the math of the pages I'd printed over the last six days and I've only printed 125, so even with such a low figure I should still have ~100 pages left.
Is this something that can be fiddled with by cleaning the nozzles? Restarting the printer? Are there XXL cartridges? XXXL? XXXXXXXXXL? Non-Canon XL cartridges that are compatible with this printer? Compared to other brands, Canon has a pitiful output, but I can't afford a $x,xxx Brother (which allegedly can print up to ONE THOUSAND sheets with an XL cartridge...because that's actually XL)
I'm just trying to print fun activities for these kids without dropping $120 a month on cartridge replacements. May even bite the bullet and get that super expensive Brother for those sweet sweet thousand-page cartridges.
Thanks in advance.
