I have an pixma ts3722 when will I know to replace the ink, and do I have to replace both at same time?

You will get messages telling you you are low on ink. Don't panic. The messages come when you still have plenty. Keep printing until you can SEE you've run out.
Yo DO NOT replace both ink cartridges together for no reason. One can run out well before the other.
The problem with an inexpensive printer like this is that the three colors are in one cartridge, and if one of the colors gets exhausted you are throwing away what's left of the other colors. When you pick a low-end printer you pay a price in ink waste.
