PIXMA TS3722 Series trouble with firmware update

hello, I have a canon pixma TS3700 and its asking me for a firmware update but having lots of trouble. help please

So that the Community can help you better, we need to know exactly which Canon printer model you're using within the PIXMA TS3700 series.  The printer's model number should appear on the top of the printer just above the on/off button. when I press ok in the second step it says that my connection isn't safe

I was able to go and continue but in step 5 where it says to select install update I do so and it appears a message saying: update failed. check printer

Use a USB connection to install the firmware, it may work where wirless will not.

Out of curiosity, how far from your WiFi router is your printer? The signal needs to be solid and strong to ensure the file is transferred without any errors. A safety mechanism exists that checks the file before it's applied, because if the update fails during installation, your printer may not operate correctly or at all.
